Well I think that this game is an OK game. It tries to do many different things at once, sorta like the developers got a head of them selves with all their ideas, not really finishing any 1. I say that because they want it to be an RPG with your levels and skills and everything, which is done quite well, but the weapons you get, are just so plain.
Also, I find that if you join late in the game, like I did, its imposible for you to get anywhere near the top, while in games that I have played like Bushtarion, some people can start mid round and get into the top 100.
Overall this game is GOOD but not GREAT, and if you want something to pass the time its a worthy choice.

Okay, several things about the game.
The game is an energy based game. This means you get a limited number of moves per day. But because of the special features, I find myself being able to do a large number of things before my energy runs out. I've never had problems on here with too little to do.
I'm 21 days old on the game. That's right, only three weeks. I'm level 4, ID 7174 (that's right, rather high up there), and #1,585 in Level/XP/Networth. That's right--in such a small period of time, I've gotten that. The game therefore can be quite competitive. And...this is out of over 6,000 players.
VIC Packs? Okay, I took a VIC pack my second day. Why? Because I liked the game. I didn't buy a $50 one, I didn't go overboard...I bought a $10. It helped me out, but isn't the end all and be all of my existence. They work best for a new player, as the benefits aren't as impressive at higher levels. I might even buy another soon.
Voting incentives. People seem to be against them...c'mon. One, they're not forced. Two, there's several games that do the same thing. And finally...This site, as well as nearly every other one I know of, requires you to press a link /after/ that link to vote for it. We get tickets (spent for a few small in game benefits) for clicking the link to go to the confirmation page. We are not forced to confirm in any way. Many of us do, because we believe the game to be worthy of it.
So, in any case...I think you should join. Try it out, see what ya think.

Mech Crusaders is a very fun game that continually gets better. With an active community, continual improvements, and a new, fast server, this game rapidly becomes addictive for both guys and gals from ages 8 through 58 (at least, that's the oldest I've seen so far). Most players are in their teens through thirties, and form a fun community for both the game and roleplaying around within the game. Although updates are not as frequent or as comprehensive as I personally would like, they are generally well thought out and have minimal, quickly corrected bugs. The management is concientious about providing good service, despite the fact that the small team needs to have a life outside of this (FREE!) game.
Give it a try! I'm sure you would not be disappointed!

Mechg is one of 2 games that I play as much as possible! I am a VIC (paid $50 - BARGAIN!!!) and would also like to add that there is no problem in the way that it is run! Fleckerman and the other staff are always more than helpful.
I search various voting sites looking for games close to the standard of mechg and hardly ever find anything that lasts more than a few days...
If you sign up and have any problems mail me there (id 7500) and i'll help you in any way possible...
Seriously tho, give it a go...

This game is highly frustrating, the staff members are either power hungry and get their jollies from threatening people, or they're inactive completely and only enjoy having a title.
The management is absurd, demanding, and useless. They can't release their updates on time, the last update was over a month a half late, while the entire community had to put a hold on their strategies.
The servers are far too slow and bogged down, once you get midgame or so you will have to spend hours just to get anything accomplished with your energy.
On top of all that, the only thing that is truly cared about is whether or not you're willing to spend $50 on this "text" game just to get a few extra energy allocations.
I'd urge you all to find something more interactive and entertaining, New Age is a good game, Utopia is excellent, spend a few bucks and buy a real game like Mech 4, but learn from other's experiences. This game is a waste of time and frustrations.

Mech Crusaders is deceptively easy to learn and get intobut it's also highly addictive.
You take on the role of a Mech Commander, your job...to build up a personal army of mechs designed to crush your opponents. Getting there is where strategy and creativity play it's role.
The game is continually progressing with newer features added all the time...and strategies are constantly being rewritten.
Playing the game for just a few days, and it's easy to understand why some people believe it's repetitive...your first few levels are about building up cash, and trying to gain a few levels so you can start building your forces. There is literally a plethora of options from there...and this soon after a reset, everyone is trying to figure out which route is the best.
Clans add an exciting team element to the game. Joining the right clan can give you much needed support and camaraderie. Joining the wrong clan can land you in the middle of a war, that you have no hope of winning.
Tournaments, Prizes, Strategy, Role playing, an active community, and so much more make this game well worth checking out. You'll want to keep playing...and you'll want to be the best.

Not really an rpg, all you idiots out there who think a game that features levelling-up an rpg have no idea about what rpg's really are. And to summarise...its a game that pretty much anybody could make within two weeks if they have php && mysql knowlege. CYA

Learn to speak PLEASE. Trying to decipher your drivel is giving me a headache.
In response to where I got the idea someone was talking about cash, try to follow along:
Quest_Loin Date: 30/07/2003 Comment: I've played this game...and lemme tell u the truth. The players actually get cash if they vote 4 the game.
Now u all know why its top.
Its top briber i say.
Is that clear enough for you? If not, let me know and I'll try and use pictures next time.
And you are mistaken, we get energy in Mech Crusaders whether we vote or not, it's mechastrike that will not reset without enough votes... get your facts straight... I play both, don't argue junior.
Now Xion, run away and play with your Lincoln logs before I get serious here.
This game is 10 times better then mechastrike, so please refrain from trying to compare the two again.
Oh, an in regards as to whether Mech Crusaders or Mechastrike are the original game, neither are... so keep that in mind before you start throwing bases accusations.
'Nuff said.

I don't know why the game is called a cash machine. The only thing that Mech Crusaders is guilty of, is being a great game. All that the voting does is add incentive to current players and the votes in turn help the Administrators of the game get more traffic. It is a win/win.
Now on game play: It is a very simple system to understand and they have several help guides and a help forum. Other games are bland when compared to this, and the best part is that it is FREE.
The community itself is very friendly, and people are always willing to help anyone at anytime (Just don't ask for freebies.)
