Shadowops is defently an amazing game , The gameplay is very unique and unpredictible unlike many text based games.
The comunity has tons of helpfull players posting in the built in forums that shadowops provides each sector/system/galaxy.
There are three diffrent servers each with a diffrent spead.
Server 1 - 1 hour Ticks
Server 2 - 30min Ticks
Server 3 - 15min Ticks
The Moderators are very fair (yet tough) and will make sure justice is held high abouve all else. So if your into cheating go play another game.
If you want a fun , exciting , safe envirement to meet intresting people "Then Kill them" Then shadowops is the place for you.
The admins/Moderators are often listning to imput from players and these regulay lead to very nice and unique updates.
Each system has its own style of play and the players that reguly join each system have thier own styles.
This could be attacking with no mercy , growing in reserch or building a massive wealthy economey.
Trust me , ive played this since the game was released 4-5 years ago and love every round.

Superb text based game that i've been playing for months now. While other online games usualy become rutine and boring after a while, you never know what will happen in the next round with this one. Alies become enemies and enemies might become your friends once you get to know them a bit better.
It's always fun so don't hasitate to join!

I have played alot of online games in my life. I found this one and got addicted quite quickly. It's a fast paced game that you can't leave alone for more then 2 hours! It's kewl!!
I haven't had this much fun in years. Ever since I got the internet I have looked for a really good game. This is one of the best I have found. I'm still looking for one that is better, and more fun... But, I don't think I will find one.
This game ROX!!!

This game U can spend as much time at as U plz. U can always gain something of being online and a well establiched strategy and some friends is the thing U need for having fun. U will get to know people and hate or love em... sounds kind of silly but it is true. there is a small comunity that makes U feel welcome and always people to get help from. me for exampel =), there is a little messed up story, but how cares, there is not that many units and they dont counter eatchother. but U still need a good strategy to get the reaseach to build the best ship. the server is fast, so i really dont what to many to join but is fun also, game is right now in an expending face. last round the member nr was like dubbled it felt like. and now is a good time to beging playing it, new round starting in 2 days or so... newbe protection is a bit long 72h but there is stuff to do... I hope U start playing soon... and glory to SOL (one of the systems) =)

Why play this game?
Well, you are able to beat the c*** out of and kill random internet people you meet and feel like you are king of the world. Then you can make friends with them. :P
But seriously, this is the best online game I have ever seen. The environment is great, the veterans are helpful, you get to meet new and interesting people, and overal its just great fun. :D

I have played a good number of online browser games, and have ended up quitting most because of this amazing game. You sign up, pick a system and a play style (each with their advantages and disadvantages)then the fun starts. There are many different strategies that people can come up with. Do i make a huge starship fleet so i can rob my enemies territories? Maybe a larger fighter fleet to wear down those same enemies... perhaps a secret and sneaky cloak attack to kill off their population? Or, you could hit a button and watch them go up in flames, all of them greatly satisfying.
Even if i didn't play, i would probably hang around the forums because of how great most of these guys are. Several days before the round starts and systems are allready at each others throats, declaring which is better, and vowing to destroy their enemies. It creates a nicely charged atmosphere of competition, and there are alwys people who are fighting it out. Revenge is a dish served often in ShadowOps, it has no time to get cold.

Shadowops, well, i know the guy who makes it and if i say anything bad hell ban me(jk), heh, no its a good game, the background is a bit bland but apart from that everything great about it, it has a well established sense of community, loads of the guys know eachother and enjoy blowing the living crap out of eachother, newcomers are always made welcome, and infact encouraged by other players who really help them out( i was once newcomer). The game itself is well made, warsome(the guy who made it), spent alot of his own time, to no gain of his own to make it, he great fun, plays the game and dosent abuse his power, infact im pretty sure he talks to nearly everyone who plays the game, or most of us anyway, and answers all our annoying wee comments(when you go to shadowops, dont expect good grammar, its his one failing[he called the 26th the 26rd for example]). I guess its just a great game, personally im yet to hear that many complaints about it, and those who complain tend to be those who get killed so theyre byest. hell, i wish there were more games like this around

The answer is simply, it's a text based game made with modern codements on one of the fastest servers I've ever seen. No millions of popups like with other text based games, just few squares to advertise and that's it. There is a small amount of players sofar, (altough 300ppl) but that's good for starters, if you join the game at thise stage, you'll get to know all the ppl and you'll see the game growing one by one...
The Aim of the game is to create a kingdom and use personal strenght, army and economicly and especially teamwork, you'll be divided in systems who can live with eachother or have bloody wars, fun to win, fun to die and wait for revenge whitch will come fast as the game resets every 1-2 months...
This is all appearing in my mind bout this game atm, as original player I can't say more bout it,
